I've been raped by United time after time, especially when Mileage Plus is involved. Rarely do I have an experience free of headaches or frustration. (Which begs the question: Why do I continue to fly with them?) The last couple of incidents included paying the $150 to get my worthless miles returned, as well as surprise booking fees/call center fees/ticketing fees that showed up on my credit card bill despite having booked online.
