Stolen items from checked bag
I travel frequently and this week I had to fly American (my second choice in flying). I had a set of Bose QC15 Headphones and IPOD in a case that I put in my suitcase during the week so I always know where it's at. This week I was running late to the airport and barely made boarding. As I was rushed, I forgot to grab my headphone case out of my bag and it got checked. As soon as I got my luggage, I opened my bag and come to find out that someone stole my case, headphones and IPOD. I was beyond livid. I made a claim with American who of course sent me on a wild goose chase to "speak" to a human, which I have yet to do. I filed a claim online and their response was a list of items they are not liable for (which is anything and everything you may want to pack). The best part is on the lost baggage claim form (which I also filled out) there is a section to identify your bag and there is a guitar case. So American is trying to tell me that if I checked a guitar and it was stolen, they are not liable. Bunch of BS! I was just starting to enjoy flying American again and now I am choosing flights that avoid them completely. So ridiculous that I can't even have my personal items "safe" when I check them. Too bad American doesn't have customer service. . . . . . I am beyond upset with this airline
