The airlines are committed to covering up the extent of the thieving and lying that goes on by their employees. There is a thread on here in which a passenger had to force the airline to expose a thief... the airline failed to call the police or investigate prior thefts...they simply fired the employee. However, the only reason the thief was caught was because the passenger insisted. Initially, they tried the standard 'cover up" Thieving and lying is endemic in the airines, but the consistent way in which they seek to deny responsibility, shift blame and cover it up is the bigger scandal.
