Is this standard Delta protocol? I had a confirmed reservation for Delta #2 from London to New York today. Yesterday, (just about 24 hours before the flight was scheduled to leave), I logged into the website to check in, only to find a message saying that a "flight cancellation has affected your trip." Yeah--no kidding! My flight was cancelled! They rebooked me on a flight that leaves the next day, thereby leaving me to try to find a place to stay in London, and a new domestic flight (I have to fly from New York to Chicago).
If a cancellation with no explanation wasn't bad enough, they also made no effort to notify me! If I had waited to check in until I got to the airport, I would have had no clue that my flight was cancelled and that I had to make new hotel reservations and a new domestic flight reservation.
I HATE you Delta!!
