We are in western NY
I am fully aware of the flight stats situation. We did not get the northeaster here in western NY. It was considered a "moderate" snow. People went to work. Schools were in session. Clunky driving at evening rush hour but otherwise ok. Little wind. And as of dinner time my flight was still on. It was coming from Dulles which also was not affected. I found out about the cancellation through a call from my daughter around 9 pm and then confirmed it by going to the United website. By then it was too late to do anything. And they had me returning before I even leave.
