Horrible AA CSR Supervisor. Booking in First Did NOT help.
CSR & SUPERVISOR Tracey Compton just dragged me through a difficult, unnecessary, and exceedingly condescending conversation. I remained professional and courteous throughout. I purchased FIRST CLASS rickets on AA AUS-SFO for tomorrow. For reasons no one can explain, my seat choices (which are extremely important to me) were changed without any notification. AFTER I checked in online, I got a notice of seat change. When I called, I was told b/c I checked in, no further changes were possible. When I remarked that neither Delta nor Alaska have that absurd restriction, I was told "We dont care what other airlines do, you're talking to us." Seriously? How dare you? I asked for some compensation (either a small flight credit or some miles, both for the inconvenience AND the long, rude conversation, and I was told to "You dont deserve compensation, but If you really want to, contact customer care after I get back to SFO." More likely I will be contacting Delta for my future flight needs. Don't beleive me? Check the transcript of the call which you know you have. I always book FIRST. I would have thought that would make me a valued customer. What happened to you guys? Unbelievable to be treated that way. Its SO easy to do a little something for an unhappy customer. Almost anything would have sufficed. You chose to make it worse.
