We are not here to Judge (no pun intended, sorry, I had to). As someone who suffers from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, I can understand why you would prefer to be on a fragrance-free flight. However, all other passengers want and deserve the freedom of wearing whatever fragrances they want—especially having the freedom to use fabric softener at home. I’m sure you feel frustrated because no one understands. But think of this from my neutral perspective—you’re telling me that I shouldn’t be allowed to use fabric softener at home. I surely wouldn’t want to take away your freedom of being allowed to eat, wear a watch, or any color shoe you want on an airplane. Why should I lose freedom because you have a condition called MCS?

If this is an important, you should consider educating the flying public about this topic. Engage in training to become recognized as a public health expert and get the message out. If a fragrance-free flight is the right decision, you should empower your fellow passengers and airlines with the knowledge for them to make the right decision. I'd be interested to hear more.
