I've flown Go! inter-island many times. Nothing special but then again HA (Hawaiian) isn't either - its a long swim....
So you are advocating Go! leaves the islands and you think AS (Alaska), or WN (Southwest) will suddenly appear. Ummm, what if they don't? Your $140 fare will be more than cheap as HA will be the only one flying the islands. All US airlines can fly the islands but they don't... its not profitable. I'm suggesting Go! whether you like them or not is keeping prices reasonable.
$140 for a 20 minute flight is expensive? (bit of a stretch because you can buy with a even a couple days in advance for $50) Aircraft, crew of 3, airport fees, fuel... this is dirt cheap... your alternative is???
