Default bad accident too, but nothing like yours

Shocked to hear of your situation. Hope you recover. I too fell in a delta flight 1135 Detroit to Atlanta Thursday August 14, 2014. I was crammed in against the window seat by a big fat guy. I could hardly drink a soda and couldn't move my legs for 2 and 1/2 hours. When I got up to get out my legs were frozen and I fell first step and crashed my knee into the next seat, breaking it (the chair) and landing on the floor of the plane. A captain, who was flying as a passenger asked me if I was O.K. and I replied "no", as I couldn't get up. They helped me out and put me in a wheel chair. They wisked me off and saw I got on a hotel shuttle, never mind asking me if I wanted to file an accident report.

The next day I came back hobbling on a crutch, in a lot of pain, still not able to walk much. Asked to make an accident report, some manager came and called the fire department rescue who asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital. I didn't feel it was life-threatening so declined, but asked for a free flight to Austin, as my wife is here and is a Chinese doctor. The Delta manager said no.

She has been treating me with everything she has from deep tissue massage to acupuncture with no lasting results. X rays with a sports doctor here suggest possible nerve damage, but need further tests. In the meantime, I can barely walk with a cane, am not going to be able to go back to China and resume my teaching and am faced with medical bills and no income.

I intend to sue Delta at least in small claims court for negligent seating, as I did come in with a cane for the chronic arthritic pain I already had in my leg...but that hadn't stopped me from going up and down five flights of floors to teach in China...and now I can't put up my one leg without excruciating pain.
