Reservation Reference OCUTUK - Typo Error in Surname
This pertains to the subject Reservation OCUTUK done today directly at your website. Unfortunately, due to a typo error, the ticket got booked in the name of Mr.Vimal Malhotra, instead of this being in the correct name as Mr. Vimal Sehgal.
This due to an Auto fill error on the laptop it seems, because another ticket was booked at your same website few minutes back for Mr. Malhotra with different booking reference.
The mistake was realised same time and hence we made a call to the India Call Centre No. 18002090808. We were not given a satisfactory response and hence we then visited next moment itself the New Delhi office of Etihad at Barakhamba Road. We were told that the same cannot be done as it is a non refundable fare and we need to cancel this ticket . We were shocked and appalled by this response from Etihad as we cannot be penalised so heavily for such a small typo error. We still want to travel by Etihad only and ready to pay a minor administrative charge, if so required or book afresh after a refund.
We have visited few websites too today on Airlines complaints and Etihad has done similar amendments to the bookings many times earlier, dont know why we were made to struggle and get frustrated the whole day today without a resolution.
Have marked a mail already to socialmedia email but still not got any response.
