Etihad Airways - an airline to write off?

As a matter of fact Etihad Airways denied my boarding without any reasons on my intercontinental flight route (from Frankfurt, Germany to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) This even though I entirely complied with the international law, rules and regulations (visa, return/oubound flights)

Therefore, I lodged a serious complaint in writing (registered air mail) to the airline´s head office in Abu Dhabi including all evidence.


Do they care about their customers?

Certainly not. Neither the company´s Group Chief Executive Officer, nor the Chief Financial Officer nor the Vice President did ever answer my numerous requests, although I sent them to their personal electronic mail address. Neither are they willing nor capable of solving these kinds of matter.

Is Etihad Airways on the edge of bankruptcy?

considering the hard facts that

- they had enormous debts and are in financial crisis for many years
- they had millions of loss in American Dollars in the last decade
- they recently dismissed the entire top management
- they cancelled all orders with the airplane manufacturer - both Airbus and Boeing

we can be sure that their financial and economical status and outlook is grim and gloomy

To conclude, you should write off this airline - don´t even consider to book a flight with them you´ll regret!
