I have to say that I do agree with you that $100 is a very measly amount, however I am sure that this is the amount that was given to everyone. Now, the fact that you are disabled (which must be very difficult for you) has absolutly nothing to do with United or any airline. Apparentlly this is an issue that you had before and will continue to have. You said it your self in the first line. you were planning on writing whether or not the flight was delayed . If an airline gave you more of a reimbursment because of your disability, everyone else would be yelling "discrimination".
If flying causes you this much of a problem, you should find some other mode of transportation (this is not meant as sarcasm...just a suggestion). Hopefully you will realize this was not a personal issue. I have no idea what cities you went thru (except Aruba) but I do know that at the really small airports the agents that work the flights take care of wheelchairs, there are no seperate vendors such as skycaps, wheelchair pushers...etc. You may have to wait a few minutes. When i worked at a small regioal airport, there were times there were 5 or 6 people that needed wheelchairs and they just had to wait thier turn because there was only 1 agent to do all of them, that is why if the wheelchair bound passenger is traveling with someone else they may suggest for them to push chair rather than to have you wait. I hope you find peace with your disability, and maybe a different doctor that can provide better help for you.
