My name is Mostafa Soliman, EgyptAir # 1101004632 and my wife, Hayam Soliman EgyptAir #1101015083. We have been loyal customers to EgyptAir for over 20 years. I recently travelled from Newark, NJ to Cairo on April 17th, 2024, flight
(SMUSD6)MS 988. I am extremely disappointed in our travel experience. We had multiple issues that we had to endure across an 11 hour flight experience which was very disheartening and disappointing.
Our original flight was the dream liner 787 with assigned seats 9A & 9D then the plan was change to 777 and we ended up in row 12 A and C
Then the 11 hour flight had no entertainment. No movies, no music, or radio. The entire system was down. This should never be the case for such a long flight.
Our seats would not move or recline properly.
When I asked the crew, and the captain (pilot)and they responded with sorry for the inconvenience please make a complaint to wecare@Egyptair.com
I am not sure if these planes receive sufficient maintenance after each flight or not but this is not the first time and I’m not sure if this was ignored.
We paid very high prices for Egyptair to travel business class due to the long trip and this is not acceptable. I do not believe we received a fraction of what we paid. I am requesting a refund for my trip to Cairo as I would like to be compensated for inconvenience on my 11 hours flight.
