Thumbs down SkyMiles program rules and customer service below competition.

Miles inactivity expiration term is too short. My miles just expired at the end of 2008. I did not receive any notification about approaching expiration date; otherwise I would react and open SkyMiles Credit Card or so.
Customer service reps were no help and did not reinstated miles or offered other solution. (“Your account is closed. Open a new account” – What for???!!!). Definitely they were not interested in returning a customer.
I prefer other airlines to Delta.
