It is irrelevant what the price is. If you offer a guarantee, it's a guarantee. And the average person has neither the time nor the patience to play these "T fare" games. The "guarantee" is structured to be confusing and highly difficult to use, just like the Travelocity scam guarantee. It's a foil, and people know it.
The airlines and services that jerk their customers around with any "guarantee" that is anything other than straight-forward and easy will continue to lose market share because it shows they think we are fools and not worthy of respect..
