WOW! That is a horror story! First...I would not have trusted medication in a checked bag. Second....why did you have to go to the airport to pick up your luggage in the first place? They should have delivered it to you. From what I have read, I feel you have a strong case in Small Claims Court. Definitely contact the Dept. of Transportation on this one! Good luck! I haven't read anything good about Spirit Airlines.
