Furthermore, there was a considerably better response to the weather problems by other airlines, including Westjet. You may be able to consider small claims action, if you can establish that the airport never closed and that you were effectively "denied boarding" on the second flight, as you had a legitimate booking which the check-in nazi refused to honour. Did you get a booking reference for this?
