Yes to both your questions. We flew United one hundred percent of our trip and yes we paid the same as our family member. We got the ticket from a travel agent out of Dallas Texas.

I will try to read up on their fine prints if I can find them on their website. Their website site said that for the class of ticket I have (Q Class) I would earn 100% of mileage.
