Disabled and left on the plane
I am disabled and use a wheelchair. I travel for business and travelling as disabled is not a problem. However - Only United makes me feel like a cripple.
I was leaving Washington - Dulles and was the last to be loaded because their crew that handles the isle chairs could not get there in time. What a pain for me and for the other passengers during an already messy boarding.
I arrive in Denver (home) only to to be left on the plane for 20 minutes after the last passenger had de-planed. When they did finally take me off, my wheelchair was not there. Why? Because I sat on the plane so long the loading crew thought I was leaving and took my chair back down below.
This is NOT the first time this has happened.... but the first time I am taking to any and all avenue's to complain and highlight this problem. Its not hard to have an isle chair at the ready.
Frontier is awesome - I have had the captain of the plane grab an isle chair to take me off.... Now that is customer service.
