Hello,
People, tell can we sue Lufthansa airline for delay and cancellation ???
My daughter 16 years old traveled alone to Egypt a few days ago.
She supposed to fly from CAI (#7177) - MUC and from MUC (#414) - IAD on September 7.

On September 7 her flight # 7177 Lufthansa operated by Egyptair was cancelled because Egyptair had a strike that day. So, Lufthansa put in different airplane. And she came instead of MUC to FRA and sleep all night alone in Frankfurt aiport .....

we were sooo worry...
She came to IAD at next day only...
So, can we sue Lufthansa airline for that ???

And now her dad with 8 years old brother stuck in Egypt again. They have the same trip like our daughter from CAI - MUC and from MUC to IAD.
But Lufthansa delay their flight from CAI now and may it will be cancelled too, like it was happened with my daughter.
And dad has to come back to work....
What shell we do ???
Please, somebody help !

Lufthansa did what it was supposed to do. Since MS (EgyptAir) which operates as LH 7177 (Lufthansa codeshared flight number) went on strike and canceled the flight, you can try to sue, but industrial strikes can happen at any time, and it is highly unlikely that a court will make LH or MS pay for the canceled flight and re-route.
