TICKET NUMBER: 9997087859424-425-001.01/9997087859426-427-002.01 (Ticket #:0372478355091/03724782933314/or 99970878594263) Tickets purchased from Asia-Amerca Holdind, LLC, Chinatown, Philadelphia, PA Passenger name: Shanying An, Lucy An To whom it may concern: 1. On July 15, 2012, 20:30, My daughter and I was going to take Flight CA 7410, operated by US Airways from Philadelphia (PHL) to Los Angeles to connect CA 0984 to Beijin (PEK), then CA 1601 to Shenyang (SHE). Because of weather, the flight was postponed in Philadelphia. 2. US Airways tried to put us on the second day’s flight PHL – Newark (EWR) – PEK – SHE, they could not print my boarding pass of EWR – PEK (PHL – EWR section was OK because it was operated by US Airways). Them, US Airways told me to go to UA the second day to find a solution because EWR - PEK flight operated by UA. Questions: why US Airways could print my daughter’s boarding pass but not mine? Is it responsible to push this issue to UA? What is wrong with Start Alliance? 3. The 2nd day, July 16, we didn’t have problem on the flight of PHL – EWR. At Newark airport, UA told me they could not open my ticket either, ask me to go back to US Airways find a solution. By this time I was not able to catch the EWR – PEK flight already. Questions: why UA could not print my boarding pass issued by US Airways? Is it responsible to push this issue to US Airways? What is wrong with Start Alliance? 4. I went to US Airways at EWR, US Airways made another arrangement to put us on New York (JFK) – PEK – SHE. US Airway explained to me that both US Airways and UA could not print us the boarding passes because of weather. Questions: is US Airways’ explanation intelligent? 5. The nightmare was still going on. I purchased bus tickets to travel to JFK, Air China told me that my ticket was still not available. The duty manager, Wendy kept calling US Airways to try to work out with US Airways…… (By this time, my daughter (9 years old) and I were so exhausted. My daughter asked why this trip was so terrible.) 20 minutes before the flight took off, the manager decided allowed us to board. Questions: Why Air China could not print my boarding pass issued by US Airways? This time, US Airways, again, push us to Air China, is it responsible? What is wrong with Start Alliance? This time Air China didn’t push us back to another as US Airways or UA did, I did appreciate that manager’s hard working and responsibility (向Wendy致敬,你提升了国航的国际形象和竞争力). I wish US Airways and UA to do as good job, responsible and professional as Air China, not to cause their customers so much trouble. 6. The nightmare did not stop, yet. After I arrived at Beijin at 6:20pm July 17, China Southern told me the same problem that they could not print my boarding pass for my PEK – SHE trip (but daughter’s board pass was OK). On duty manager explained that UA locked my ticket. He pushed me to UA to unlock the ticket or buy another ticket to SHE. I called Asia-America Holding, LLC for help, Floral pushed us back to Air China, too. 7. We had to stay in Beijin for a night. July 18, morning, I still went to China Southern, the same manager still could not help. 8. I had to take 6:30pm train to arrive Shenyang at 11:30pm July 18. We took 53 hours to arrive the destination which should only take 24 hours. Both my family and family in law were worried about us, too. The 1st part was caused by weather. The rest problem was completely caused by human (computer program was made by human, too) or Star Alliance. Questions still remain: what’s wrong with Star Alliance? Why US Airways, UA, Asia-America Holding, LLC (and China Southern) were not responsible just push the issue to the other? Is there anything you can do to avoid such thing happen to your customers, again? I request that my tickets from EWR – JFK, Hotel in Beijin, Train tickets from Beijin to Shenyang and my 29 extra hours to be compensated, refund both tickets of PEK – SHE or else I will try not to use these flight companies and travel agency in my future travel. US Airways only agreed to refund my unfinished tickets in August, 2012. But so far no results, yet. |
