Refused to board at Muscut by Ethiopian air line
I was travelling from Colombo- Sri Lanka to Juba- South Sudan where I am employed as an UN military personal on 28 th of April 2016 after a leave by sri lankan ( UL2925) air line through Muscut , Oman.
There the officer in charge of the ethiopian air line matters refused to board me without even seen my documents that included the valid visa issued by UN authority with South Sudan immigration department.
His main argument was that I did not have valid documents , but he did not inspect my document other than the air ticket and the passport which also included entry visa at several occasions.
After tier-full attempts I got down more supportive document to prove this legal entry, but unfortunately there was no one at the desk at Muscut to forward it. They were not caring me and all the blame to Ethiopian air line ignorant officer.
Later I had to go back buying a ticket to Sri Lanka.
Importantly after 2 days I reached Juba with same document but with an other air line that did not bring such a irrational , blunt arguments.
After a week air line responded me to say that there side had work according to the rules but my replies have made them mute.
In this process I lost my luggage which should be with Ethiopian air line. For this also they have no answer even though I have forwarded necessary details.
My massage is if you are travelling with Ethiopian air line especially through Muscut definitely there is high chance of mismanaging your boarding.
I do not want to let air line down as there service at flight is up to the standard. Problem is till you board and collect your luggage.
