Angry BA1491 GLA to LHR on 24 Jun 2016

I received during the night a sms informing that my flight from GLA to LHR has been cancelled. I arrived to the Glasgow airport at 5.30 am so I succeeded to take the previous flight to Heathrow (06.55 am). Nobody told me any problem for the next connecting flight (LHR-LIN). When in Heathrow I had no problem to pass through security with the boarding pass I printed on line the day before. When at the gate (LHR-LIN 10.25 am) I could not take my flight because someone cancelled my check in. First: I did not ask it and nobody told me anything about that. I waited 2 hours at the gate for the flight so I could change my boarding card. Second: How can I pass through security check with an invalid boarding card? I had to arrive in Milan before 2.00 pm. I am a neurologist and I had a lot of work this afternoon. Who is the guilty? Who pay for this?
