Default Fraudulent Billing for flight changes

On November 4th, 2012, my wife and I were in Beijing, China and were scheduled to depart back to the United States on November 5th, 2012. An impending snow storm, caused us to attempt to move our departure date up to November 4th. We could not speak to a live agent and instead were referred to go to the United website. A group of travelers were with us in a Beijing hotel trying to change our reservations. The website stated we could change our flights for a fee of $250.00 per person. My wife and I agreed to these charges and provided our personal credit for payment. Upon arrival back to the United States, I found out that not only were we charged the $250.00 per person fee, we were also charged an additional fee of 787.03 per person. These charges were also placed on a company credit card that was not taken out of the United States. I have spoken with customer service and they agree that there are problems with the website and live agent support in China. They also stated that by agreeing to pay the $250 ticket change charges, we inherently agreed to pay any additional charges though they were not listed on the website. I have tried to work with the customer service department, but to no avail. They readily admit they were not authorized to charge my company credit card; however, they will do nothing to correct these mistakes. I freely admit to owing the $500.00. However, I did not inherently agree to the any other charges.

Challenge the charge to the company credit card and I would consider taking them to small claims court. Record your calls with them, but be careful to advise them you are doing so for "quality assurance purposes"!!
