I travelled from Vancouver to San Francisco for a medical emergency relating to a friend in hospital in the US. The price I payed last minute was ridiculous to begin with from Air Canada , but I payed the 1700 dollars return with connecting flight in Seattle . Fine .. worried about my friend .. I sat in Seattle waiting for the smaller AC plane. Finally we board the plane and prepare for take off. A fellow behind me yells out hey ! our luggage is on a cart by the plane ! I look out and sure enoughI see a bunch of bags on a cart. I tell the stewardess as she is standing at the door right in front of me. She says I will look into it... and casually closes the door and buckles up and sits down facing me. I look at her in disbelief. Blank stare.
We take off and I shake my head. We arrive at San Fran airport. I go to baggage they say do not worry bags will be on next plane. I wait over an hour now worried about my friend in hospital as well. AC plane arrives still no bags! They tell me they will phone me when my bags arrive. Fine I drive to Sausalito Hospital deal with my business. I get a call your bags will arrive at 5 pm . Perfect rush hour ! I need my stuff so I leave hospital return to airport go to AC . They act like I am crazy !! I said you have wasted my time repeatedly and lost my bags. They said phone this number ... In India DUH ! I phone with a bad feeling in my gut .. why should I be the one making calls holding and running up time on my cell in San Fran. Anyway dude in India ..tells me they will send my bags to my hotel room on Nob Hill and will i be there till 10pm? Hmm It would be nice to do something else but ok I say. I wait and nothing arrives at 10pm. I phone India again duh .. this is getting sooo BAD .. Another guy says the bag will be dropped in the lobby tonite. ok great. I get a call from lobby at 230am. Your bag is here. I go down and I see one unfamiliar bag with a huge name on the front. Mr. Hong. Nice ... Air Canada.. This is where I gave up. Nothing is worth talking to India again or Air Canada customer service anywhere . I went to the Air Canada facebook site when I got back to Vancouver and posted my horror story. Oh btw I never got my bags back. They started to dismiss me immediately and ridicule me. At the time a number of other musicians were having problems with broken instruments and such . They even said I should quit smoking pot and get a real job. It was like the Air Canada Facebook site was run like a kindergarten with only AC employees and shills able to voice their opinions. Hundreds and hundreds of people post problems there . I shudder to think how many more like myself have been BLOCKED and their comments removed. Anyway thanks for having this forum again. It is great to be able to vent and post these experiences. I have more

I would highly encourage people with Air Canada issues problems and complaints to go to AIR CANADA SUCKS Facebook Page and join the group because if they can get 5000 members they may be taken seriously by the powers that be. I know there are thousands of people who can help this movement to stop abuse and corporate bullying by Air Canada on many levels including their kindergarten like Facebook Page that BLOCKS anyone that complains too much.
