Shenzhen Airlines nightmare
I bought a ticket from Cheap Tickets for Shenzhen Airlines 9718 NKG-SZX and 9791 SZX-SIN, Jan 7 2015. Shenzhen Airlines left Nanjing very late, causing me to miss my connecting flight to Singapore. It arrived after the gate closed. I asked the Shenzhen Airlines service desk to put me on a later flight on Tiger Airlines
SZ airlines said Tiger flight was fully booked, otherwise they would put me on it; I talked to them for 1 hour while they continually lied to me. then they said they didn't know if Tiger Airlines was fully booked; then they said they didn't have the phone number for Tiger Airlines to find out if a seat was available; I asked them to walk over to Tiger but they said they could not. Then they told me to come back in 24 hours, the next day, and they would fly me to Singapore, causing me to miss all my meetings the next day.
I went over to Tiger Airlines and bought a ticket. plane was half empty.
I tried to call Cheap Tickets customer service but they did not answer on Jan 7. I called them later when I was in the US but they put me on hold and did not honor my request for a refund.
The lesson is avoid Shenzhen Airlines and avoid travel in China. it is ten times worse than airlines in the US. Chinese airlines pretend to be world class but are very third world. Sometimes Chinese passengers riot in airports and I can understand why.
And never buy a ticket from Cheap Tickets--there is absolutely no customer service.
