Exclamation Appalling Experience Aboard EY 293 KTM to AUH

I am very disheartened to have to join this forum to air my grievances regarding an awful in flight experience on Ethiad Airways. To start, I am generally very low maintenance and understanding when it comes to flying and the huge responsibility being a cabin crew member holds. Nontheless, seated in aisle seat 11D, a man making his way to the rear bathroom stopped adjacent to my seat only to projectile vomit onto the aisle and surrounding area- more specifically my feet, shoes, and areas of my left hand side( clothing and arm). Immediately I turned on my attendant light to which no one responded. I attempted to make my way to the front of the plane to access the only bathroom accessible( for obvious reasons) so that I may clean off and hopefully alert whatever crew member was present. I was turned away from the first class restroom and told to return to my seat despite being visibly upset, and almost in tears. Instead I was forced to step through the accident to get to the rear where I was told the mess would be cleaned. I used the restroom to try to clean off the vomit as best as possible. When I returned to my seat, I again had to step through the vomit as it still had not been cleaned. More than 15 minutes later, a woman attendant came by and sprinkled some kind of deodorizing powder over the site. This did not help the smell, which was nauseating and overpowering. The mess was never cleaned, in fact passengers were forced to step through this powdered pile as they exited the plane. This incident occurred within the first hour and a half which means I suffered through more than four hours of sitting adjacent to this unsanitary, filthy, gag inducing site for several hours, which ultimately obstructed being able to maneuver to and from the restroom. The purpose of choosing an aisle seat lies in the fact I have been diagnosed with nephrogenic diabetes insipidus, which requires access to a restroom at all times. It was not until exactly 10 minutes before landing did a stewardess ask if I wanted to sit in first, upon seeing I was wearing a mask I had purchased in Kathmandu, my departure city. This is reprehensible handling of a seemingly common complication of flying. The lack of attentiveness and sheer incompetence in handling this matter is beyond reproach. Very disappointed in my experience. Currently Etihad has acknowledged my complaint but have yet to hear back regarding the "findings of their investigation". I was so disturbed by this experience, I will surely pursue with the appropriate departments if this is not resolved in a timely manner.
