Gate Agents for Flight AA1476 on 4/30/16
Sprinted in ORD from gate G9 to K2 after flight AA3607 was delayed due to an inability to get the passenger count right at BDL...
Gate agents for AA1476 to AUS saw me and just closed the door. It was 6:58, departure time was 7:09 and got delayed to 7:10. Gate agent simply walked away while I was talking to her asking if I could still get on the flight. While waiting at the gate another would be passenger ducked onto the jet bridge behind a catering employee. The plane was still there, a gate agent came out, and I could see that the airplane door was still open. When I asked if there were seats, note it was 7:04 (still before the departure time), I was told "it doesn't matter if there are seats, I closed the flight already."
She then refused to book me on another flight, gave me standby ticket, and sent me to "some phones by K6"...
Amazing lack customer service by those gate agents in ORD.
