Thumbs down Edreams - Don't Use Edreams Travel!!!

I RECENTLY FOUND A NEW TRAVEL SITE CALLED EDREAMS TRAVEL. I BOOKED A TICKET WITH A VERY GOOD PRICE ONLY TO DISCOVER A CHARGE $158.00 HIGHER THAT THE AGREED PRICE WHEN I BOOKED THE TICKET. I EMAILED EDREAMS COMPLAINT AND RECEIVED A REPLY THAT THE TICKET PRICE WAS IN EUROS.

NO WHERE ON THE SITE DOES IT ALERT THE PUBLIC TO THE FACT THAT YOU ARE NOT DEALING IN AMERICAN CURRENCY. I HAVE NOW NOTICED FOR THE FIRST TIME A LITTLE e BESIDE THE MONEY AMOUNT. BUT WHO WOULD THINK THAT USING AN AIRLINE BASED IN AMERICA AND FLYING IN AMERICA WOULD REQUIRE CONVERTING $$ TO EUROS!!!!

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS SITE BECAUSE IT IS DECEPTION AT ITS BEST!

PUBLIC BEWARE!!!!!!

Thumbs down Edreams are the biggest rip off merchants - DO NOT USE!!!!

I also had a problem with Edreams. I booked a ticket for them for a colleague to travel to the Republic of Congo, when it came to a day before the flight the ticket still hadn't arrived. After many panicky emails asking if there was a problem, i received a reply stating that my card had been declined and my booking cancelled. I then booked through a much more reliable company. Then Edreams decided they did want my money after all, and did the booking! I immediately contacted them telling them to cancel this ticket, which they ignored. It took 4 months of repeated phone calls and emails and letters, for them to eventually acknowledge me. They then had the cheek to say the error was mine, but because they are such a nice company, they would refund the airport taxes ONLY! Avoid Edreams, they really are a bunch of crooks.

Default Edreams Complaint

Another similar story I'm afraid. I booked a flight, transfered the money, heard nothing from edreams despite the transfer having gone through.
I called them up only to be told that the flight had been full for several days, when I asked why I had not been informed there was no response.
I requested a refund of the money I had paid and after several emails and calls from my side I still had received no refund. I then threated to take the complaint further, and a day later received an email saying that the transfer had been made.
6 weeks later and yes... you guessed it I'm still waiting for this mysterous transfer that my bank has not had any sight of.

Default My mysterious transfer also has not been received...

A follow up of my complaint, I am also having the same problem as you, Powerless. I finally got Edreams to make a transfer of the refund into my account (a year and a half later!!!). They sent me confirmation that they had done this back in April. This refund has not yet reached my account, so I wonder if it is a fault of the bank, or whether it is another deliberate ploy of Edreams to withhold money, as it certainly looks.

Default Edreams

I booked the ticket with Edreams, it came by email same day. But when I arrive to the airport found out that edreams didn’t pay for my luggage, even the conformation said I can have 20kg with me, so I paid 25€ to go there and 25€ to come back. When I tried to send complaint to edreams web site it just never worked. I will never work with them again.

ANOTHER EDREAMS NIGHTMARE! YOU MUST BE AWARE OF THESE CON MERCHANTS AND THEY ARE GROWING RAPIDLY THROUGHOUT EUROPE AND THE WORLD. I booked my ticket thru them for the first time, my hard earned 820e to get a flight from Barcelona to Mexico, to see my beloved teacher in Mexico and when i finally go to board, they refuse (Delta) my boarding due to my last name not appearing on the ticket, even though EDREAMS HAD MY LAST NAME AS THEY ISSUED ME A BILL OF COURSE!!! And so to cut a long story short, I went directly to their headquarters in Barcelona, nothing could be done, just a bunch of operator chicks taking calls apparently, and I have written, now over 100 emails, and some Diana woman or some other employee of this fraud company, just keeps saying no they CAN´T GIVE ME A REFUND, BUT THEY CAN GIVE ME 5E OFF MY NEXT TRAVEL VOUCHER WITH THEM!!!!!!!! Can you believe this XXXt? honestly, they got to be joking. And so finally, on the phone one day, which is by the way about 1e a minute, they say they can refund me the airport taxes....which I have not seen to this day. WHAT TO DO? I AM BESIDE MYSELF WITH RAGE WITH THEM, AND FEEL POWERLESS. BY THE TIME I GET A LAWYER I HAVE SPENT 820E AGAIN. IS IT WORTH? AND HOW CAN THESE PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH THIS? ITS DISGUSTING ... PLEASE DONT USE THEM. THATS ALL I CAN SAY, ITS THE MOST CORRUPT, AND FRAUDALENT COMPANY EDREAMS I HAVE DEALT WITH IN MY LIFE. Just go on-line and google edreams frauds, and you will find out so many cases with them.....good luck!

There are many horror stories about this agency. They were recently exposed on British TV. You could try the Small Claims procedure in Spain. You might also consider reporting them to the authorities.

Read this and see if it is any help. Good luck,

Thumbs down eDreams - DON'T USE

I recently purchased 4 tickets from them. London UK to Venice Italy return with BA. Cost 283GBP We were to join a cruise departing from Venice. When we had to cancel our cruise I contacted eDreams and asked to cancel the flights - only to be told that they were non-refundable, that I couldn;'t get a credit for another flight and that I couldn't make any changes. I then contacted BA and was told that all though they were non-refundable I could make changes and that the BA would only charge me 30GBP per passenger to make the changes. I then relayed the information back to eDreams. They then said that ok the tickets could be changed but that it would now cost 90GBP per passenger PLUS any fare difference. I then submitted a new schedule to eDreams adding the costs and additional change in price of the airfare - total cost would be 121GBP.
eDreams then told me that I couldn't make any changes via email but had to make them by phone. They then gave me 5 different phone numbers - non of which work from here in Canada. I relayed this information to eDreams - they just replied that I had to phone them. After several emails I have just given up trying to get through to them that those phone numbers don't work. I then found a web-site called Complaints board - I submitted my complaints - only to have them answered by Nico from eDreams who assured me that if only I would send him an email he would straighten all this out - last I heard from him. Received another email from eDreams saying that the changes will NOW cost 128GBP per passenger. I relayed this information back to the complaints board web site and was contacted by Ana who assured me that she would straighten everything out. She forwarded my complaint to eDreams customer service who sent me an email ...you guessed it.....telling me to phone them. ARGH!!! I have found no-one that is able to help me. I have complained to BA about this agency and I'm amazed that legit. airlines will continue to do business with them. Here in Canada we have not heard of any complaints about them and I only discovered all the complaints after purchasing tickets from them. I think eDreams is only a call center and will take your money (credit card) and might or might not issue you a ticket...but forget about trying to get anything resolved if you should have any problems - it's just a big run-around and they don't care. Stay away from them.

Sadly, you are discovering what many have experienced before you. This agency highly disreputable. I would not throw good money afte bad. Sadly they are un likely to help you. From London you can fly to Venice with EasyJet, Ryanair, BA. Ryanair normally use Treviso, which is fine and easy to get to Venice from there, but in any event Ryanair will be using Marco polo this season due to runway upgrading at Trevso.
Ryanair are a royal pain, but f follow their rules carefully, they are ok. Read the small print carefully, weigh and measure your bags and leave plenty of time for contingencies. BA. And EasyJet are both ok.

Good luck. PM if you have any specific questions you think I can help with. I would avoid at all costs alitalia (who will route you via Rome) and never use eDreams. They have a terrible reputation. You can complain to the aviation authorities in Spain, but not sure this will help in the shrt term.

Default You can open a dispute

I've also been a victim of fraud from Edreams, though it was about an hotel booking. I just called my credit card company, and they say that I can open a dispute by sending them all the emails that I sent and received. I also have an email from the hotel that proves that they never received a booking from Edreams. I'll go for it, I'd suggest to do the same. After all it's fraud, credit card companies must protect us from these and authorities must be warned about these crooks.

Default Help please!

I have been a victim of fraud from edreams. They took money from my account without sending me a booking reference so I had to book my flight elsewhere. I have been in touch with the Police who say it doesn't appear to be criminal activity but reading these threads suggest it is a clear business plan of theirs to actively deceive customers. If the Police won't help is there anything else that I can do?! Any help would be very welcome. Thank you.

Default EDREAMS doesnot give back refund after it cancelled air ticket

I had book an air ticket via EDREAMS for the London-Athens trip. I paid the company and got the confirmation about my payment. Then they informed me that the flight was canceled and I agreed to wait for a few days to get the money back. However, I was desperately waiting for the amount for three months by emailing to them but they didn't even give me a reply. I thought they want to keep silence so that I would be too tired to ask them for refund.

Here is an email they sent to me. It seems they want to rip-off online customers.

I am so sorry to post my complaint here as I couldn't bear any more the EDREAMS company.

In hope that someone can help or people need to be aware of the company and stay away from them.

This company has so many complaints, it is bordering on a scam. I think you should consider contacting the spanish authorities. Do not book an alternative flight... You should demand a refund.

Look at the trap that Maria Curro (the air agent of EDREAMS) wanted to rip-off my money.

I paid them 193.83gbp but they asked me to use only 193.83 € (notice the different currency) to buy alternative ticket. I chose option 3 and inquired refund, but this same guy who sent me email didn't give any reply. This guy is irresponsible in particular.

But then, I made a complaint to the customer service and to the complain service of EDREAMS, neither they replied to customer nor gave any explanation.

Can EDREAMS still want to do business with their bad reputation?

I am completely disappointed with EDREAMS.

Anybody know how to report to the authority about this fraud EDREAMS? Thank you

I too have had dreadful problems with edreams. The jury's out on whether they are wilfully fraudulent of widely incompetent but either way they should not be used. I used them last week to book a flight to Amsterdam. The following day we received am email saying that there had been a problem processing the booking and requesting email or telephone notification of all our credit card details, passport now etc. We immediately emailed to cancel the order. They emailed back verifying cancellation at no charge. The following day the amount was debited twice from the account although one was described as a debit and the other as a correction. Despite repeated emails they have still failed to rectify this, so I have paid DOUBLE the amount for NO FLIGHT tickets!!!

I finally had some success and got all my money back. The solution? Going onto their Facebook page and posting the complaint there. Their online team works very quickly to make sure your problem gets resolved because they don't like the bad PR. Good luck.

Default waiting for refund from eDreams

One more story about my recent experience with eDreams (sorry for the long text but some details might be of interest for other users).

On September 27, 2011 I have booked through eDreams website my flight Moscow-Dunedin-Moscow. The cost of the ticket 3,205.64 euro has immediately been charged to my credit card. However, I received an e-mail with confirmed booking but saying that the ticket could not be issued due to pending payment. I have contacted the eDreams customer service to receive another e-mail saying

Dear Customer,

Thank you for getting in contact with eDreams.

We inform you that your booking 5FAZEO has been processed correctly and that your electronic tickets were sent to:

IKAROVIC@MPIA.DE AT 28SEP11 14:58 GMT

You can access your reservation through www.checkmytrip.com. All you have to do is enter your booking reference and your last name.

Kind regards,...

Needless to say that on the www.checkmytrip.com it was written
"This trip cannot be found. It may have been cancelled."
Then I started to receive strange e-mails from the above mentioned address IKAROVIC@MPIA.DE. One of these tried to send me from Stutgart to Milano (the price is 113 euro) instead of Moscow to Dunedin (almost 3230 euro). Here you are:

Dear Mr. **********,

I am forwarding you the flight confirmation. There is a flight 14/10 from
Stutgart to Milano 15:15 and back 16/10 20:10 back the price is 113 euros.
I do not mind to buy it again, but I am sure it was a problem of the
system. What should I do?

Thank you
Best regards,
*** **********

Finally, on October 1 I have received an e-mail saying that the ticket for my booking could not be issued. No explanation was given.

Finally, today after a phone conversation with an eDreams representative I have received an e-mail confirming that my reservation has been cancelled:

Dear Mr ********,

further to our phone coversation today, hereby we confirm that your flight booking (ref. 5FAZEO) was cancelled and the amount of 3205.64 EUR will not be charged on your account by the airline or by eDreams.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Kind regards,...

Again, the reason of cancellation was not explained to me. What is more important is that the total amount of 3205.64 euro WAS NOT refunded to my credit card!

Any suggestion how to proceed will be very welcome.

Default edreams have fooled us once again by false promises

Hello all,

I am new to this thread. Just to inform everyone, we feel so aggrieved with edreams as they told my wife and I just 2 hours ago that as long as the flight operator authorised the modification of our tickets, they would honour that.
However, having just spoke to BMI in England, and having received the OK from them, edreams still will not budge and refuse to permit any changes - still maintaining that the operator has not authorised it. I have since contacted BMI, 3rd time now, and they informed me that they cannot change it because edreams specifically told them that my ticket is non-refundable nor changeable. Edreams on the other hand said that they did not say this to BMI as it is the carrier who determines the terms and conditions.
So why on Earth did edreams deceive me; having me call the flight operator when, according to BMI, they knew all along there wasn't going to be any glory my end.
I took edreams advice to call BMI in good faith and now I have been burnt!

Default eDreams are con merchants

Although I did buy a ticket through eDreams and travel on it, my daughter then wanted to book for her and her family to travel. After thinking she had secured cheap tickets, the reality of the prices was way higher when the breakdown of tickets was shown and their initial prices shown are a complete mis-representation.
However, she booked the tickets at the end of December for flights in April for them all. In January she recieved an email saying that she needed to send a copy of their passports and a copy of her credit card, both back and front!! She replied by email to them saying that she would not send both sides of the credit card to anyone, and never heard anything back. After 4 emails from her to eDreams she became worried as it was now February and no tickets had been sent. She then tried calling but no number seemed to get her to the right department and she was calling expensive premium numbers with no success.

Finally we found a number to get through and the female member of staff told her that her tickets had been cancelled, because she had not sent the copy of her card and passport as requested!! When my daughter explained again that for data and security reasons she could not send out her card, the woman member of staff became very rude and told her she must send it or tickets would not be sent!!

After worrying moments my daughter has checked her card statement and believes that by some stroke of luck, the money did not actually get taken out for the tickets, although is awaiting full confirmation form the card company. They are the lucky ones it seems!
Needless to say we will NEVER use eDreams again.....they are categorically breaking rules for data and security protection.

BEWARE!!! Do NOT send in your card details...and be aware that you may actually not get your tickets!

Default edreams is fraud

The travel website edreams is fraud. Two colleagues of mine paid, apparently got a ticket, and when going to the check-in counter were told they have no reservation on the flight. Bad surprise when you have appointments in a different part of the world to meet.
This happened on different dates, independent of each other. Same story - they took the money, they pretended to give the eticket but nothing was actually booked.
Just a few days ago another colleague was trying to book a ticket, she went through the process three times, and each time her credit card was debited for the amount, but not ticket was returned. The company could not be reached for assistance.

I agree. I will suggest this to the colleagues of mine who tried to get their tickets from them. They will file a criminal complaint. It is unbelievable this company still exists.
