Thumbs down rescheduled flight

We bought a ticket for my step daughter to come for four weeks for the summer and they rescheduled her flight for the next day because of thunderstorms. So, we lost a day of our four weeks we get to spend with her. When she came she checked two bags. When she left they said we have to pay for her to check any bags. My husband only took enough money for parking and to give her on the plane. I had a credit card I could use to pay for the bags at the house, but they would not allow me to pay for them over the phone. So he had to take all the money he had and he could only get one of her bags checked. They did not say anything about this on the expedia site. When I buy a ticket I am paying for my bags to be checked all together. I will never fly this airline again. I feel like they are misrepresenting the true cost of flying with them.

Mandy:

You should be allowed the free baggage allocation that was in place when the tickets were originally purchased. If United changed the allocation between the purchase date and travel dates, contact UA directly and request a refund of that fee. If you do not recieve it, contact DOT at airconsumer.ost.dot.gov
