Default Lost Fish

American Airlines are so uncaring. I had a major ordeal when I flew with them I went to Alaska with the whole purpose being to catch Salmon.
I went to all the trouble to freeze, vacuum pack and pack 50# of Salmon into a cooler.
When I got back to my home in Dallas Texas everything was lost. They had lost my luggage and my cooler.
After three months they found my bag but no cooler.
That was when I got the letter saying that since this was perishable they were not responsable.
I understand this rule about perishables if they are not packed right and spoil. But it's not right to give them the right to steal. I feel that this fish is probably in someones freezer right now.
I will never go on another American airlines flight because this is just wrong!

I am sorry to hear about your problem. I want to assure you that not everyone in the company is dishonest. Keep in mind that AA is not the only one handling your bags. TSA handles them also and so do subcontractors. If I were you I would have filed a police report for missing items.
