Delta must feel like there the only airlines we can choose from in this big world , like there prices are too high and gas prices arent even that high for the tickets to be looking like 1,000 i just understand what they think nowadays .

Delta were allowed by the US government to emerge from bankruptcy as the largest airline in the world. They operate a series of local monopolies, and don't need to compete on price... they know they can screw the customers and the government will protect them.

Since aircraft doesn't fly on "gas," the cost of it is irrelevant. Airlines enter into hedge contracts with fuel suppliers, meaning even if the price of oil goes down, the airline still has to pay whatever their contract says they must.
If you don't like their prices, don't fly with them. It's called making a personal decision. I never got to fly on a Concorde because the prices were too high. Just the way it is, and I wasn't going to gripe about it. |
