Default Unprofessional staff avoiding blame and responsibility

While I don't know the names of the customer service agents I do have their ID#s. U178301 & U210745. Their service is not my concern. The fact that of the flights that we were book on, only one was on time and not delayed, canceled, or missed, that was United flight 37 from San Francisco to Maui on 2/24/07 at 2:35 pm. Of the other flights the following occurred: 1. Itinerary change from original flight plans by United. 2. Ua7306 2/24/07 Bloomington to Chicago mandatory crew rest, late departure, no personal at the gate. 3. Ua831 2/24/07 Chicago to San Francisco missed. Booked on a later flight. Received a $50 travel voucher by agent # U178301. 4.Ua36 3/3/07 Maui to San Francisco canceled due to mechanical problems on Ua132 San Francisco to Chicago. We were not notified and were told at the gate that we were canceled and could be booked out the next day at around 2:00pm. It would appear that the personnel in San Francisco avoided their responsibility and put the problem off onto the Maui personnel. That was totally unacceptable and and showed a severe lack of professionalism on the part of the San Francisco staff. Through the efforts of the Maui supervisor we were booked on the 10:00pm flight to LA. 5. The flight from LA to Chicago was delayed due to a generator fault and was held at the gate for 3 hours. 6. Ua7307 3/4/07 Chicago to Bloomington missed due to the delay from LA. We were given a $150 voucher for this delay by agent # U210745. 7. Ua7309 3/4/07 Chicago to Bloomington was late and the boarding gate # was changed from F2 to F4 sometime near the boarding time without any announcement. Furthermore, even though the gate and time had been changed on the Departures screen there was no information at gate F4. While on its own that would seem a minor matter, after more that 20 hours of miss haps and missed flights that was the first time that I was caused to lose my temper. In the end we arrived home at 11:15pm to exhausted and stressed to even be put into words. As such I was forced to take a extra day of vacation to recoup myself. To clarify my choice of resolution the amount of $1079.20 is the cost of a round trip ticket from Bloomington to San Francisco.
