Flew NWA from DTW to LAS the end of August of this year for our Wedding. Let me start out by saying that I have flown many of times on many airlines such as Spirit, Air-Tran, America West/US Airways but this was a 1st for NWA.
Security process was by far the quickest not a single person in line but my soon to be hubby and I. I had run my wedding gown through the screening and we had difficulty getting it to go on the converyer. They threw the dress all around, bunched it up and once it did work we were rushed by rude security to "hurry up! Hurry up you need to get your stuff." There was nobody around but us so I don't know what there rush was but that started the morning off not too hot! Then once getting on the plane they escorted me to the front to place my dress in 1st class in the storage compartments as they watched me struggle to place my wedding gown and lay it across (I am only 5'1) nobody offered to help in any way. A passenger in first class actually helped me out! Now on the way home we were waiting to board our plane from LAS to DTW and I approached the desk to ask about exit seating. A male whom waited on me was absolutly by far the rudest person I have ever encountered and in no way should have been working anywhere where you deal with people. He acted as if he hated his job entirely! They boarded us before maintance was done on the plane and then told us after sitting for 20 min on the plane that they thought maintance was farther along than they were and it would be another 45 min. The plane itself both to Vegas and home was by far the most uncomfortable seats we have ever sat in and the amount of room we had was just pathetic. It was the most uncomfortable 4 hour plane ride experience and really placed a huge disappointed for our entire wedding/honeymoon experience. |

as far as your first complaint, thats TSA, they always want people to hurry, i dont know why. they have nothing to do with NW.
secondly, as far as the seats and the agents. most of the agents i have dealt with at nw are pretty good, and some aren't. dont let 1 pain in the butt who is having a bad day ruin your travel experience. now i agree that airplane seats aren't always comfortable. it sounds like you were seated coach. of course those seats aren't comfortable, now if you really want a bad experience with the worst service and seats, i recommed Turkish air or kuwait airways. NW is #1 compared to them. |

I understand that TSA was responsible for the 1st situation . . . that I do agree with and that wasn't Northwest.
I just know that from previous experiences NW has been by far the worst! We had friends and family that flew Spirit, Midwest, and Continental as well America West Vacations all that same day we left and those on Midwest and continental were very impressed. My friend flies frequently and she will only fly Continental now no matter the price! To each there own I guess! |
