Angry BAD, BAD, Service

Hello,
Last night I experience the worse time at the airport of Fort Lauderdale. However, the major issue is Spirit Airlines Service. First I want to state that they don’t even provide customers in a 3 hour flight with FREE WATER! However the major issue was last night when I missed my flight to Orlando. Why Spirit airlines let customer book connecting flights with an hour difference, when they know that customers won’t have enough time to make it to the next flight?, as we have to go through customs, check in, etc. Why they make us wasted our money and time!!!! I’m very upset!!!!!! I being calling to spirit airlines all morning, they won’t help me, they won’t give me an immediate refund of my money, they won’t even answer the phone properly. I literally got hung up by a customer service representative twice. He did not answer my questions, and the only thing I heard was “wait 20 days to get your money”. We missed our flight due to incompetency of spirit airlines, and the employees mostly. Then I never got any helpful solution, the only thing I heard was “I’m sorry”. I had a job to get back to; they won’t even pay for a hotel or a rental. The worse is I have to pay $300 dollars for a car rental to get to Orlando at 4; 00am when I was supposed to be in home at 9:00pm. Spirit Airlines not only lost one whole family as a customer, I’ll make sure that everybody I know are aware of such of bad service!!!!
I’m not asking for a favor by requesting an immediately refund, is my right to received my money on a reasonable time. Is insulting how bad I’m been treated by customer services representative, by the airport personal, etc. Also, I want to restate that it doesn’t make sense to me why Spirit Airlines let customers book a flight with one HOUR different for a connecting flight, when they know it won’t be possible to get thought customs in time. Is not fair!!!!
I’m very upset!!! I need solutions not bad customer services, and bad excuses that won’t solve my problem. I want my money back immediately!!!!!

Lisandra, so sorry to hear about your experience. As you’ll see in this forum, Spirit has horrendous customer service and you should not expect to speak with a live person or get any compensation as a gesture of goodwill. However, based on your comments it does look like that you are entitled to a refund for the unused portion of your ticket.

You mentioned that you had to go through Customs, so I assume that you were connecting in Fort Lauderdale from another Spirit flight.

Where did your flight originate, and was Fort Lauderdale your only connection? If you missed your connection due to a late inbound Spirit flight, you are entitled to a refund for the FLL/MCO portion.

Spirit is an absolute nightmare...but I don't know any airline which will refund your money on the spot.

Well I was returning from Bogota, Colombia.
We stop at Fort to get a plane to Orlando.
The two flights were with Spirit.
Now I have to wait for 20 days!!!!! Just for
The refund....
Very upset, I'll never, never used Spirit again
