This complaint is in regards to a call that i received from a kingfisher representative, namely, Mr. Sameer Kotwal claimed to be calling from Pune. I have been informed that my flight will be cancelled and the refund will be processed post the airlines commences its operations. The reason cited for immediate non-refund was that, DGCA has cancelled their licenses and their bank accounts have been freezed. Traveller : Mr. Amit Bajpai/Mr. Zeon Joseph Airline : Kingfisher PNR : 4H3BWX Amt : Rs.19,894/- There are a few concerns and questions that i have regarding the entire process, I am skeptical on how the refund is going to be dealt with by kingfisher airlines. > Kingfisher has been non-operational for a while, however it seems that the airline is still entertaining booking requests. Should this not be stopped? > If the flights have been cancelled, the refund should be processed the same way the payment was taken, "Immediate". Should they not take payment only when they are due to fly then? > If their accounts have been freezed, then how are they taking payments in those accounts. Is there a separate pool account that has been opened to take our payments? > If these flights are non-operational, where is the money parked/laundered/spent? Considering they have not paid salaries to their employees their expenditure may be far less than normal. > There is no written communication from kingfisher about the refunds, should that not be their responsibility to do so. Unless there is suspicion in that too. Other times, every other policy/term is communicated in black and white to absolve the airline. This seems to be a selective one. The above concerns may be due to certain unknown facts as a individual consumer, however it will be appropriate if there is an official statement by the airline to all their customers.But someone should be held accountable for the above and hope it can help all the customers. |
