Etihad - service is far below par compared to most airlines
I flew Etihad from JFK to Chennai, India.
1. The service is far below par compared to most airlines. Missed connections are nightmares. Passengers have to run from desk to desk.
2. Most of the problems are due to very poor training of employees. Reservation/check-in agents at the airport are so slow that you would fall asleep standing!
3. While the planes to their hub are great, planes from their hub to locations in India (Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai) are terrible. These are some ancient rented planes that were not even refurbished. Accordingly, the service is practically non-existent.
4. Perhaps, the airlines started prematurely without recruiting and training adequate personnel.
