Ek722 connecting with EK 516
we were travelling from Nairobi to delhi the flight got delayed in Nairobi because of some snag in the aircraft where as we were told that the airport server is not working so the flight will be delayed by an hour as they have to check in all pasengers manually, from the beginning they were lying and fooling the passengers, every hour some grond staff was coming and announcing that we are boarding any moment so my son thoght he wont get time in dubai to buy liqours he boght 2 bottles from nairobi, then the flight departed at 5 am so we missed the connecting flght to delhi and was assigned for next morning 4am flight to delhi flight no EK 516, our check in luggage were checkd in till delhi so we came out of the airport with our hand baggage and no directions were given about not carrying any liquid or so which will create problem to carry on further, while rechecking for our delhi flight the customes personnel confiscated the bottles,we told them about the ordeal that we went through they asked us to contact emirates customer service who can help us out, acccordingly we went to the customer service office and stated the whole story they made 1or 2 futile calls here and there told us they cannot do anything about it the bottles are gone. I want to know I lost about 100 us dollar for those bottles now who is responsible for this loss me or emirates? if they have provided us with the info at the right time instaed of acting smart I would not have lost the money nor been harrased for an hour in the dubai airport, I want the airline to compensate me for the loss I incurred along with an apology for bluffing.
