Hi Etihad,
I have just recently booked a flight to Australia but have noticed that my first name on the boarding pass will be Tom and the name on my passport is Thomas. I have rang the company I booked the flight with and they have told me that Etihad have said I cannot change this. I then rang Etihad themselves who have said that because the last leg of the flight in Australia will be done by virgin Australia they cannot change my name even though it has been sorted through Etihad and all three flights appear on my booking on their website. I am unsure of what to do and want to resolve this as soon as possible. Please I am willing to pay a fee to change the name any help will be greatly appreciated. |

Hello,
I have booked a non-refundable ticket for my family and myself from London to Srilanka in Etihad airlines on 20th Feb 2015. We have booked the tickets through an agency - Lycafly (Travel Dates: 12th August 2015; Return - 1st September 2015). While booking, I missed out one letter in my first name .(It should be GNANATHARSHINI but somehow the name misspelled to GANATHARSHINI). I've been calling both the airlines hotline and the agency's hotline to resolve this issue over the phone, but in vain. Both the customer care keep stating that the ticket has to be cancelled and the money will not be refunded. My agent said he put remark and the passport number on the ticket but he also said that airlines said that, they can't guarantee. This flight is really important to me and my family, and I cannot afford to make another booking but I am more than willing to pay small penalties. I'm hoping that someone from Etihad airlines would notice this issue and resolve it for me without a cancellation Any help is appreciated. |

I had a reply from ethihad feedback as follows, but it doensn't say, who we need to contact to amend the change as i have contacted the agent and the ethihad call centre and they refuse to do the change.I am unsure of what to do and want to resolve this as soon as possible. Any help will be greatly appreciated. ![]() Thank you for your correspondence. We have noted the concerns outlined in your email and would like to explain that under the circumstances for a name change the tickets that were issued have to be cancelled and then reissued, which means that you will have to cancel your ticket and issue it with the correct name as mentioned in your passport. The applicable charges related to your ticket’s fare conditions are also applicable. Name changes are permitted at an applicable charge of USD 75 to maximum 3 letters as per our reservations policy in adherence to IATA guidelines. Ms. Thevathasa, thank you for writing to us and providing me with an opportunity to clarify our position. We do hope you can move beyond this negative isolated experience and continue to patronize our service. Hi,
Thanks for your respond but i think you haven't read my complaint properly. I can understand i need to pay $75 to amend my name and i am ready to do that but i need the follwing details. Who and how do i need to contact regarding to amend the name? How do i pay the money? Who will reissue my ticket? As my agent refused to amend the name and this cycle is going nowhere and I am being thrown around in all the calls and contact that I make. ![]() I have spent weeks now in trying to get a name change done. I believe that you are going to be my only hope at this point. Thanks |

Hi,
I have called to the reservation team and they said the same old story that they can't ament the name as it is a non-refundable ticket and transit ticket. They have mentioned that the part of the ticket is issued by srilankan airline. My agent already said that he can't do anything. This going round and round the circle and leaving me nowhere. I can't afford to cancel the ticket and rebook it. ![]() Please help me and point me in the right direction. |

I have received an email on 06/03/15 from guest relations. The email said, that, they are going to investigate further and member of your team will get in touch with me soon but i haven't heard anything yet. Can you please let me know whether my name will be amended or not? Please don't make me regret for booking with ETIHAD. ![]() Thanks, |
