Thumbs down Seat collapsed during takeoff

During the initial takeoff my seat back broke and I was thrown completely back. Since there were no empty seats I had to stay almost completely prone for the entire flight including the landing.
AA is only willing to give me 5000 miles on their program. That's how they stand behind their quality commitment.

Did you file a complaint about this with the DOT

Important as AA very likely did not and this is a serious safety problem that should be noted and investigated.

Only if the DOT knows about all failures will we all end up safer

I HOPE
