Well do not know where to start or where to end this circus with Etihad . After traveling over 30 years all over the world my last adventure was with WORST Airline in entire plant named Etihad with worst possible service from call center to supervisors and the way the stiff pure innocent travelers . Here is my story and hope all future and potential buyers beware and do NOT fall for this scam airline . I bought two tickets for my mother and sister to fly from Iran to Abu dhabi and return the same way . I paid with credit card and told their agent over the phone that can only provide copies of card and my ID at local office since i will not be able to show them in person . My sister took documents to local office and they confirmed and approved paid tickets and gave A Ok to fly . My poor mother and sister went to the airport and right before departure Etihad kiosk played childish game of tickets not valid and you need to buy new tickets . I called them right away and asked to speak with manager . An extremely rude lady got on the phone and like a parrot repeating same words over and over that we need to buy new tickets without any further explaination . I asked how in the world you can charge someone , confirm tickets and then not honoring what you have sold but she had no answers and keep repeating that new tickets need to be bought . I immediately wire some money to my family in order to buy new tickets from them but to my surprise they had sold our tickets to someone else , in fact they made money twice by shafting me and their scam . I had to buy 2 tickets from another airline and pay arms and legs due to last mintue ticket purchase and paid almost 3 times more than regular price due to their actions and mistake . I have tried atleast 4 days constantly over the phone and multiple emails to atleast get refund on my return flight which was 10 days after departure but they totally ignore my calls , my emails and keep hanging up on me . They have no plans to give money back and rich airline is so desperate for money to stiff poor average people in order to make money . Please Please do Yourself and everyone you know a favor and stop buying from them . If you like to loose money , time and get treated like trash by all means go for it , otherwise turn around and run as fast as you can from dishonest airline without any dignity. Way to go Etihad air and kudos to you all . This airline should be ashamed to treat travelers and scam them out of their hard earned money
