3 out of 4 flights delayed or canceled
I'm a first time flyer of American Airlines. A group of Engineers from my work chose AA to fly to Tokyo from Detroit to Chicago then on Tokyo to try out the 787-800 Dreamliner. The trip started off with AA flight cancelation flight from Detroit o Chicago. AA was nice enough to find us a flight to Chicago on United but did not get our bags on the flight. Evan after we spoke with both AA and United to make sure the would make it. After being up for 36 hours from flying to Tokyo, getting to our hotel via many trsins we neede a change of clothes but had with none. We did get our bags 36 hours after we landed which meant we had to purchase clothes to attend our business meetings. The return was just as bad. 2 hour Delay out of Tokyo missing our connection in Chicago. Then wait 6 hours for our flight to go through 6 gate changes before we finally board an additional 3 hours later. Then we sit on the plane another hour while we get released to make it back to Detrot. That means 3 out of 4 flights completely waste our time for airline incompetence. By the example set by this trip, you can figure out what airline will not be used by our company.
