Angry Theft in Flight no 12 & 221 (From LHR - AUH - KHI)

I was travelling with Etihad Airways for the first time and experience was really bad. An amount equal to USD 790 was present in my baggage when I checked in. The same amount was stolen when I checked my bag at home.

I have logged a formal complaint to baggageclaims@etihad.ae and no response is received as yet.

I am really concerned whether Etihad provide enough compensation to their employees so that they don't have to steal.

A friend of mine was travelling with me and both of his bags were tempered. He was lucky as no valuable item or currency was present in his luggage.

Thumbs down None has been done so far ... Baggage Claim is as if Sleeping

I am amazed how Etihad is operating their Airline with such a pathetic response (virtually no response) to complaints they receive. Apart from an electronic email, I have received no response to the So-called "investigation" they were doing about my baggage compliant.

This situation make me think whether a baggage claim department exist in Etihad Airways or its just an email account that is programmed to fool the annoyed passengers.

I had encounter problems with my baggage in past but I haven't received such a carefree response from any other Airline operator so far.

Default Same thing happened with me

Dear Mr.Hogan,

How you doin?

This email is in regard to one of the worst experience of my life which i would like to share with you because it is directly associated with you.

I had a dream to travel to best airlines of world and i tried almost all while travelling to USA,Australia,UK and one day i thought i will try Ethihad as this is one of the best which i missed.

So for travelling with Family to Europe i took your flight to Brussels,everything was like dream and on the last day while coming back from Brussels via abu dabi,i had a worst experience of my life wherein one of your employee asked me to checkin my hand bag to the checked bag as he said there is no space in plane,i happened when i was about to board bus to plane and he called me back from my bus as my wife was asked to do so and i have to come back to resolve,he insisted and we agreed as everything was in good faith.

To my shock of like after landing at Delhi Airport,i shopped at duty free shop for 450 USD and i asked my wife to give money,she said that is in hand bag that we checked in.I asked her to bring the bag as i was carrying Indian Rupees and we were getting good buy on dollar as exchange rate was 69INR for 1USD.

She got the bag and got traumatised when she saw there is no money.

I dont have much hope had it been some third class airline but it was ETHIHAD,one of the best and ethically high morals.

I immediately went to Airport authorities and reported the same and fill your emails and reported online as well but there is nothing happening.

My request,pls.investigate and help me in this regard.My money may not be much but my expectations were very high.I will loose trust on your airlines for ever.

THERE IS THEFT FROM MY BAG

Dear Manager,

Today I reached Delhi from flight no. from brussels via Abu Dabi

I was having two hand luggage and in Abu Dabi just minute before entering the bus your representative insisted me to get the hand luggage checked in as there is no space inside the plane.

I had my cash which was 500 dollars and 500 euros,some 4000 INR in the bag inside the luggage which went missing.

I was shocked to see as i open the bag during the duty free shopping and my cash was missing.

I immediately went to office which is bang opposite belt number 9 and met the representative there and they asked to send mail to airline as everything has to be done through abu dabi.

The representative of yours forced me to get the back checked in just a minute before boarding bus from gate no. 30 and i am shocked and depressed to see that this thing can happen on international airline like ethihad which is famous for ethics.

My morale is really down as this shud not have happen,i request you to investigate the matter on urgent basis and you will come to know the truth.
