Default Physical Harassment, Threated, Use of offensive langugate and abused by guest seating

My name is Rashmikant Trivedi and I flew Eithad EY454 from Abu Dhabi to Sydney on 5th February 2017 alongside with my wife Pratima Joshi and my 3 years old daughter Riona Trivedi.

We were located on the seat no 56J (my wife), 56K (my duaghter) and 56H(Rashmi Trivedi from Abu Dhabi.

The guest who was seating right behind me on 57H alongside with his family on 56K and 56K physically harassed me as I was trying to recline my seat backward and he started pushing my seat and threatened me.

I had to intervene flight attendant Miss CHANHOM who also spoke with the guest but he refused to listen and didn’t let me recline and continue to physically harass and started abusing us.

I was very concerned about the safety of my wife and daughter as guest seating on 57H was very aggressive and didn’t listen to any flight attendant or supervisor and continue to repeat to me this line – “I dare you to push you seat backward, I will break you seat”.

As far as our travel is concerned, we paid the full ticket but we were unable to enjoy our time on the flight, or enjoy our meal and we are extremely stressed for the entire flight that was for 14 hours. We couldn’t sleep for entire 14 hours during plane journey as we were scared for our and our daughter’s lives.

This incident left a very bad taste in our mouth and we have decided to take this matter forward if Etihad Airways does not come back with appropriate resolution to us in timely manner

I hope that Etihad Airways looks into this complaint as matter of urgency and as this is a serious offence by guest on the flight and we are the victim and felt that our life was in danger for 14 hours.

WOW
Considering how tight spacing is on these seats I would have expected you to understand why the person behind you objected.
I would have also expected you not to be so silly as too provoke the other person until he threatened you.
Congratulations: You have publicly revealed yourself to be arrogant and ignorant.
