Spirit took away 88,176 of my hard earned frequent flyer miles because I did not fly 2,000 in the last 6 months. My last filght was in May 3, 2008 and I had 88,176 then. I flew regulaly and loyaly with them. Saving my milesfor hard times. Well, hard times came and I could not travel since then, I went to use my miles only to find out they were gone. You have to fly 2,000 every 6 month or you loose your miles, not matter how many you have.
This is wrong! |

You say this is wrong. Which part? The part that it is an unfair policy or did the airline not follow the policy correctly?
I looked at their website and it states.... By joining and participating in the FREE SPIRIT program, each member agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. It then goes on later in the page to say......FREE SPIRIT Miles will expire when an account becomes inactive for a period of 6 months or more. An "inactive" account is one that has less than 2,000 miles credited to it from any source during the preceding 6 months. I will agree that if you earned the miles, you should be able to use them. But this is part of their program and no matter how much a person thinks it's wrong, you agreed by joining. |
