Investigativeguy here with the law that Delta ignores and hides from passengers .DOT says the airlines should pay you up to $3300 for lost or DELAYED baggage damages.Yes if your bags are delayed the law allows you to buy essentials and the law does not cap it at $25 a day as Delta might want you to believe.When I went and posted the law in LAX airline people ripped it down.

Delta and others want you to wait for bags with only a tooth brush, which they sometimes hand out .Other times they offer you a t shirt but that is all .They don't want you to know you can buy the essentials you need up to $3300 as you wait hoping they will deliver the bag.They always say the bag is due to arrive shortly so you won't exercise your rights. How many people know this to be true ?? How many of you were told of the law?? You tell me.
