I called to cancel my Delta American Express today and recieved the worst customer service of my life! The lady repeatedly made remarks about how I was making a mistake by closing my account and that I would be missing out on using miles and earning gift cards. I had to say at least 5 times "I want to cancel my card" to her. She wouldn't listen to me and then rudely hung up at the end of the conversation. I understand it is her job to encourage people to keep their cards but you are not going to do that by being RUDE! The card is not convinent to use. And after my experence flying delta last weekend (poor customer service and delayed flight with little communication), why would I want to keep a credit card associated with Delta?

Isn't this a credit card complaint? Delta gets enough airline-based complaints that they don't need AX's complaints lumped in too. Or is this somehow gonna be spun that it's all DL's fault how AX runs their business?

It is a Delta branded card. If I had a poor experience with Delta, why would I continue to use a Delta branded card which generates miles to be spent on Delta?
