I gave my sister a flight to Paris on BA for her birthday present. First, they said she was a security issue, taking her crutches apart looking for hidden weapons and then having TSA do a full pat down in front of the entire crew. Then, when they found nothing and she was seated, they removed her anyway, saying she had asked to be removed (not true at all). They asked multiple illegal questions about medication she was taking for her disability. After numerous phone calls to BA health services in London - during which we were told that the crew had no reason to take her off for health reasons or even to demand a health certificate - we re-booked for the next day. The ticket agent who checked her in was the same as on the previous day and he loudly and publicly berated her for holding up the plane for 2 hours, and then said she had no rights because she was traveling on miles. My sister is not an experienced traveler and had no idea how to react. I do - BA is going to get an earful from me.
