I'm a platinum member- 170000 plus this year... 350000 lifetime miles Fly from Tampa to Seattle each week. Book this flight 10 days ago almost $1000. Business traveler-guess how well the Loyalty program worked.. Seat 29B seriously? You can fly southwest or USAir and get a window seat..Sure glad Delta is there for those of us that kept them alive when no one else was traveling.. Flying is a choice- you need to up your game Delta... The last month I have been delayed on every flight I have taken except one...

hate to sound like a mean B for saying this but...perhaps your not the only platinum member on the flight. and booking 10 days in advance isnt a whole lot of time. im premier executive on UA and my company ALWAYS books last minute travel for me (3 days-1 day in advance) guess what...back in the middle seat for me. not everybody on the flight can have a window or aisle seat. i see that you have flown 350000 in your life on delta...just saying others are also platinum booked earlier in advance and took the better seats. do i what i do. check the seating every hour and especially 24 hours before your flight. chances are, something better will open up

oh, and thats not true on USAIR. my friend is platinum status on US and always has the back middle when we travel for work.

When I was on phones for good ol' NWA I had to wonder a lot of the time "Who would they like me to push out of an aisle seat for them?" DL or any airline set aside seats for elite ffs, but there are a fixed number on any flight. Some of the elite seats are middle seats. When they're gone, they're gone. And btw, I'm a Platinum medallion on DL, if you have 170000 miles this year you'd be Diamond by now, wouldn't you? You'll probably get bumped up front soon, if not already.
