Flight Cancellations
Recently, I have had a never heard of experience. United had cancelled our direct flight from San Fransisco to Boston. When we got to the airport (I was travelling with another adult and two small children) we were told that our flight had been cancelled and the closest place that they could get us was to Newark, NJ and then we were on our own to get to Boston. Come to find out United is cancellind many of their none-filled flights in order to save money so that their CEO's can get a bonus. Once we got to Newark we found out that there were 14 other people in the same situation. Because we all complained enough, United did rent a bus to get us to Boston, but our 5 pm arrival turned into 5 am into Boston. Never was there an explaination of the flight cancellation and no mention of refunds even though my husband lost a day of work. Interestingly enough I heard from someone who works at United that this is only going to get worse! I will never give United any of my money again!!!!
